Shade studio

See the film before we cut it.

Drag the shade. North Carolina street-legal tint is 35% VLT or lighter on every window but the windshield. Darker needs a medical exemption. Ceramic still rejects heat even at legal 35%.

How it goes

In and out. No runaround.

  1. 01

    Call or text

Tell us the vehicle, the shade, and when you can drop. Same-day happens when a bay is open.

  2. 02

    Leave it with us

Most jobs take one to three hours. We work cleaner without an audience — we will ping you when it is done.

  3. 03

    Hand-cut install

Film is still cut by hand. Edges tucked, glass cleaned, heat-shrunk where the glass curves.

  4. 04

    Lifetime backup

If a window fails and you have the receipt, we replace it. Customers have come back ten years later.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Still cutting every piece of tint by hand instead of letting a machine do all the work. That is how much they care about the craft.

Brian S.

Lifetime warranty, honored. Brent put film on ten years ago. I made an appointment, and he replaced it within hours with the receipt. Positive attitudes, knowledgeable team.

Kris T.

We texted and got an appointment four hours later. Exceptional work on a 2024 Toyota 4Runner. Will be bringing more jobs this way.

Will U.

Staff was so nice and got me in and out quickly. Price is reasonable. I paid $250 for the side windows and the back windshield at 35%.

Jamela C.

Brent got us in same day and did a fabulous job. Quick service, responsive and friendly team. Highly recommend.

Alexander G.

Hands down the best around. Great dudes who do awesome work for a great price.

Questions

Before you roll in.

What tint is legal in North Carolina?+

For passenger vehicles, every window other than the windshield must allow at least 35% visible light (VLT). The windshield may only take a non-reflective strip along the top 5 inches or above the AS-1 line. Clear UV film that does not darken the windshield is allowed. We will not install an illegal shade on a street-driven vehicle without a valid medical exemption.

How long does a car take?+

Most cars and trucks are in and out the same day — typically one to three hours depending on glass count, hatch shape, and film. We ask you to leave the vehicle so we can work clean and uninterrupted.

Do you warranty the work?+

Yes. Quality film and a lifetime workmanship warranty on automotive installs. If a window fails and you have the receipt, we make it right — customers have come back a decade later and had film replaced the same day.

Standard, carbon, or ceramic?+

Standard dyed film is the everyday look at the everyday price. Carbon stays color-stable and is radio-friendly. Ceramic (including Max IR) is the heat fighter — up to 96% infrared rejection — the upgrade we recommend for trucks, SUVs, and anyone who sits in summer sun.

Can I book by text?+

Yes. Call or text (828) 303-0249. Same-day appointments happen when the book allows. Walk-ins are welcome if we have a bay.

Do you tint houses and businesses?+

Yes. Residential heat and privacy film, commercial frost, dual-reflective, and storefront tint. We recently finished office and showroom glass for a Hickory dealership — from a couple of panes to a full building.
